Production Stylist

Casting Props and Wardrobe

Bashie (“Bash-ya”) Waggoner was born into a family of creativity in the tiny town of Terrell, outside of Dallas, Texas. Her mother was an interior designer. Her father, a landscape architect. Growing up in an artistic household, Bashie pursued her interest in photography, earning her degree from the University of Texas at Austin. True to her diverse nature, Bashie’s study of light and space was coupled with a minor in Metalsmithing. During her time in Austin, Bashie helped design several clubs in the 6th Street area.

Bashie has always loved to travel, and the same wanderlust that would later take her around the world led her to Los Angeles in 1991. Over the next two decades, Bashie followed her love of photography to the Musician’s Institute — promoting bands and solo artists — and into the Black and White printing group of one of LA’s major film labs. This time with musicians and printing helped develop and polish her eye for style and her understanding of people.

While in Los Angeles, Bashie gained extensive experience as a print stylist, covering wardrobe, props and casting for countless advertising shoots as well as many film and television productions. Her work as a stylist and producer appears in several national and international advertising campaigns for clients such as Mercedes Benz, Visa and Sony.

Bashie still loves to travel. Though her journeys across India and Europe have broadened her scope and refined her eye as a stylist and artist, she has learned an equally invaluable lesson: regardless of the size of the budget, she is at her happiest when she is part of a team, producing imaginative, innovative and inevitably memorable work.

Bashie is living a quiet life in the UK.  Her Queens English is coming along nicely.
